The brightener was the icing on the cake. I also played around with my neighbor’s fence that was in bad shape with it being totally gray and even some black mold in certain areas. No doubt it could take care of that with a little more work and time. It actually removed most of the gray and mold…Another application and it would be back to the normal would color. Great product and I am looking forward to applying your Timber Oil…I want to wait a few days to let the fence completely dry out.

Best cleaner and stain ever!

I did my deck two years ago and that experience guaranteed that I would only use Woolrich for my cedar fence, and I ordered enough product to redo my redwood deck. I used Timber Oil western cedar stain on both. It looks great.

Super Products across the board
I have used all of Woodrich’s products on my deck since we built our home in 2013. They all work excellent in prepping, and the stain is spectacular. I didn’t have a pressure washer, instead I used a deck brush, the “jet” option on my garden hose head, and some elbow grease. The cleaner

I ordered the EFC38 & Citralic – Complete Wood Cleaning & Restoration Kit, because I wanted something that wasn’t toxic to use near my vegetable garden and fruit trees,. I didn’t have a pressure washer, instead I used a deck brush, the “jet” option on my garden hose head, and some elbow grease. The cleaner and brightener really made the deck look like new and I was really impressed. There was some furring of the wood, likely due to my scrubbing, so I sanded the deck and railings after the deck dried. I would definitely purchase this product again. Great product at a great price.

Great product!
These products do exactly what they claim. I used the hardwood stripper (EFC-38) and neutralizer (Citralic) then applied the stain (Hardwood Wiping Stain). So easy to work with and looks beautiful!

Almost back to new!

We purchased the Complete Wood Cleaning and Restoration Kit for the deck at our mountain house. After 12 years of little to no attention it was looking quite sad. We followed the directions on the kit and our deck looks so much better. And it wasn’t a back breaking experience at all. We choose not to use the power sprayer for fear the wood would splinter, but instead used a stiff bristled brush. A little more work, but the deck looks and feels great. I will certainly not wait another 12 years before doing this again because it makes such a difference and I am sure will help preserve the deck as well.
My only suggestion might be not to take on this job in the heat of summer….took a little more effort to scrub quickly before solution dried.

applied a natural look sealer. The finished product looks great , and the sealer is doing its job. Because of the type of sealer I use, I know I will be doing this process again, but by using this product again, it will be much easier. I highly recommend it.

BEST CLEANING MY 35 YEAR OLD DECK HAS HAD

I took great pains to keep the surface wet for soaking due to the deck being very dirty. This seemed to make a big difference in loosening dirt and old sealer when using a power washer. I anticipate cleaning being much easier the next time when I use this product.

Worked good on older deck
I used both products to clean and brighten an older deck. The stripper did a very good job of cleaning dirt and mildew. The brightener was used to neutralize the stripper but could not tell much difference in color of wood (treated pine) after treatment. Overall a good product.

Terrific product
I’ve used it before on! Ipe deck. Terrific product.. I use a long handle brush to apply it and a string mop to apply the neutrializer.

Great product
Paired together, these products completely cleaned a redwood deck that had not been cleaned in four years. Took about six hours with brush and garden hose. Great product.

Cant freakin believe how effective these are as wood cleaners. Will never use chlorine bleach mixes again on wood when I have this I can use. Be careful when using in higher strength mixes, it can fuzz wood, so be prepared to knock the fuzz off with 120 grit or higher paper.

Works great. Deck was black with mold and stains and had not been cleaned in many years. Sprayed the cleaner on waited 15 minutes then pressure washed off. Deck looks new. Will definitely buy again.

This wood cleaner does a great job!
I have cleaned, sanded and restrained our decks at least 6 times over the past 15 years. This is the best cleaner I have ever used on my deck.

Product works well, Be vigilant on wood knots, Cover your plants
Products did a great job of loosening up grime and UV-worn sediments. Expect to “agitate” the material with a good, stiff deck brush with frequent cleaning of the brush. This is not a spray-on, hose-off product — particularly the cleaner. That said, my decks looked great when finished and were well-prepared to receive the stain.

Take particular care around knot holes. This is the hardest part of the wood and tends to retain more grime. I found that, when the cleaning/brightening was finished and the deck thoroughly dried, the areas around the knots tended to be white/gray with grime residue. I went over these spots (and there were a lot of them) at least one more time to clean them up.
All in all, an excellent product. I bought some sheet plastic to cover the shrubs beneath my deck (sumac and incrediball hydrangeas). Even though the cleaner is “environmentally friendly”, I took care to cover them to prevent all of the deck crud from coating them. Plus, the brightener isn’t billed as eco-friendly so that was a second reason. Some of the glop landed in my grass but after a couple of rains and mowing it appeared no worse for the insult.
